WHO WE ARE
Choice Products, Inc. is a small, multi-faceted company located
in Western Kentucky. The company was formed in early 1997 by Gary
McMillin, current President. Prior to establishing Choice Products,
McMillin has over seventeen years of experience in marketing and
retail product development.
OUR MISSION
Our primary function is finding new and innovative consumer products
to develop for the retail market. We are a small company, and intend
to remain small. We feel one of the keys to our success has been
our ability to maintain a strong focus on each product that we work
with. Our business ethics and practices are above reproach. We communicate
with our associates in an honest, open, and frank manner. We want
to know the people we deal with. And we want our business associates
to know who we are.
We are not a 'Product Submission' company. We do not offer our
services for a fee. We offer our expertise at no cost to inventors
with our FREE PRODUCT ANALYSIS . If a product or idea does not 'fit'
what we do, we will tell you...and give you our reasons, along with
suggestions for improvements or revisions to your product that we
feel would be helpful. If a product does meet our stringent standards,
we will seek a licensing arrangement with the inventor. Products
that we license receive maximum effort and support, as well as capital
investment, manufacturing expertise, design and engineering services,
and exposure to a network of contacts that is normally unavailable.
At the appropriate time, we can furnish names of other inventors
that we have worked with for reference information.
OUR METHODS
Because the requirements of this business are so varied, our services
are constantly changing. Some of the areas of development we are
involved with include
Design and engineering
Manufacturing processes
Quality procedures
Packaging and labeling
Cost controls
Sales and distribution
Capital for development, production, and marketing
When a product is ready for the marketplace, we work through major
marketing firms, retail companies, catalog companies, infomercial
companies, and others to place the product into the market in a
manner that best suits that particular item.
The manufacturing of our products is done under contract with high
quality producers in the U.S. We establish and maintain standards
of quality, capacities, pricing and distribution criteria for our
finished products and all suppliers of components and services.
OUR EXPERIENCE
Over the past few years we have been fortunate to work with several
very influential people and organizations in the retail industry.
This 'network' of contacts is one of the keys to our success in
developing products. We are familiar and have done business with
K-Mart, Sears, Wal-Mart, Canadian Tire Corporation, HomeBase, Ace
Hardware, Servistar, BJ's Price Club, Brookstone Catalog, Plow and
Hearth Catalog, and QVC Shopping Network. We have been directly
involved with negotiations, fulfillment, and logistics with the
largest retailers in the U.S.
We also have extensive experience with leading infomercial companies
such as King World Direct, and the Guthy Renker company. We have
produced short-form infomercials, and done logistical and fulfillment
work for these efforts.
Meeting the demands of a large retailer is a daunting task at best.
Our experience and contacts in this regard is vital to our ongoing
success, and the success of our products.
OUR SUCCESS
We are proud of our track record. Two of our current products,
The Wombat Pro™ (temporarily out of stock) and The Trash
Funnel™ are perfect examples of what we seek to accomplish.
Both of these products had been exposed through other firms prior
to us acquiring them. Neither had been successful. We saw tremendous
potential and strong consumer appeal to both, but realized they
needed a lot of work to make them marketable.
Working with the inventors, Choice Products devoted the expertise
and capital needed to make those changes. We began by employing
engineering and design experts to make the items function better,
more durable, more attractive, and more efficient to produce. We
then sought out and contracted with modern, high-quality manufacturers.
New packaging, labeling, graphics, and other sales materials were
developed. The products received massive exposure through the largest
Trade Shows in the U.S. Professional quality television footage,
infomercials, and commercials were produced.
One of our newest products is the Ripmaster
Circular Saw Guide. Choice first acquired a license to this innovative
tool idea in 1999. Over the following three years, we took the idea
from early prototype stage, all the way to distribution through
major retail and television shopping networks. Currently, the item
is sold in the U.S., Canada, and Europe. The process required to
develop this product included design and engineering, manufacturing,
quality testing and analysis, packaging design, and point-of-sale
graphics. When we felt the product was ready, we made presentations,
sold the product, and worked out the many logistical and other issues
involved in dealing with major retail.
Our newest product is the Dual-Flo Multi-Function
Nozzle.
Currently, our products are sold throughout the U.S., Canada, and
Europe under various brand names.
The Dual-Flo, the Rip Master, and the Trash Funnel are all enjoying
continued success and growth. Sales for each has grown tremendously.
Consumer response has been absolutely wonderful. Our goal is to
work with only quality products such as these. Our primary product
categories are:
Lawn and garden
Tools
We seek innovative, problem-solving ideas and products. If you
